Inpatient wards

The Men’s Ward  is a 2 story building, which can house up to 100 patients. It has double rooms with attached bathroom and shared rooms for patients. There is a dining room, toilets and bathrooms with hot water, an office, nurses station, a treatment room, a psychology room and a doctors consulting room. It is fully staffed around the clock with nurses and Ward aides. Similar facilities are available in the women’s ward. We also have a family ward with 11 family rooms with attached bathrooms with hot water supply. We encourage families to stay with the patients,if possible. This is beneficial to reduce the stigma of mental illness, to provide family support and also to provide an environment for family therapy. Young persons under the age of 18 and children, can only be treated with family present .We also require that family is stay with patients who are seriously physically unwell.
