CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST
Dr. Milind Borde passed his MBBS from Christian Medical College Vellore in 1984. He then worked in N.M. Wadia Hospital, Pune for one year in Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery Departments. After that he worked for one year in St. Luke’s Hospital, Hiranpur in the Santhal Paraganas for one year in Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery.
From 1986 to 1990 he worked in the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi as a Junior Resident. He completed his Diploma in Psychological Medicine from the same Institute in 1988 and his MD (Psychiatry) from the same Institute in 1990. In 1990 he also passed the Diplomate of the National Board exam in Psychiatry.
From 1990 onwards he has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Davis Institute of Neuropsychiatry. He has published many papers in National and International Journals. His main areas of interest are adult clinical psychiatry and supportive psychotherapy with young adults with adjustment problems and marital or relationship problems.
The Davis Family Trust was formed in August 2004 and he has been the Managing Trustee of the Trust from 26th September 2004 onwards.
He is an active member of the Rotary club of Ranchi North and has served three years as the president of the club.
He is also the Managing Trustee of the International Library and Cultural Centre in Ranchi.
He has been actively associated with the Indian Psychiatric Society, Jharkhand State Branch since it started in the year 2001.
His hobbies are Reading, Chess and listening to Western Classical Music. He also plays the Piano.
